Password guidelines

Note: This guide applies if you log in to Eletive with an email and password. If your organization uses single sign-on (SSO), your password and any additional security login requirements are managed through your organization's own login system instead.

To help keep your account secure, your password must meet the following requirement:

Minimum length: 8 characters

Tips for a strong password

While only length is required, we recommend choosing a password that's hard to guess:

Aim for 15+ characters, even though 8 is the minimum
Combine a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
Avoid common words, names, or simple patterns (e.g. "password123")
Use a passphrase — a short string of random words is often easier to remember and just as secure (e.g. "purple-lamp-window-42")
Don't reuse a password from another site or service

Add an extra layer of security (optional)

You can enable two-factor authentication (2FA) as an extra layer of security. Once turned on, you'll need a one-time code from the app in addition to your password when logging in — making your account significantly harder to access if your password is ever compromised.

Forgot your password?

You can reset your password at any time from the login screen by selecting Forgot password? and following the instructions sent to your email.
