Extensive Benchmarks allows you to compare your Engagement Score, eNPS, and key drivers with top-performers, providing you insights on strengths and areas for improvement, helping you make data-driven decisions to enhance employee engagement.
Enable the Extensive Benchmark feature by
- Navigate to Settings and Features
- Toggle on the feature Extensive Benchmark
When the feature is enabled the score is displayed in relation to the benchmark's normal distribution curve.
Administrators also have the possibility to select a specific percentile of a benchmark against which to measure.
Select a specific percentile
- Navigate to Settings and Benchmark
- Choose your percentile under Measurement
When Extensive Benchmark and percentile preferences have been added to your report, you can view the data by clicking on the benchmark field.
Default Comparison (Without Selecting a Percentile)
Example:
- Engagement Score: The organization’s engagement score is 3.2.
- Benchmark Average: Since no specific percentile is selected, the organization is compared to the average of the entire benchmark, which is calculated as 3.0 in this case.
By clicking on the distribution information, the organization's score is displayed in relation to the benchmark's normal distribution range. A purple line highlights the percentile where the organization's engagement falls.
In this example:
- A score of 3.2 is higher than the Top 50% (3.0) but lower than the Top 40% (3.5).
- Therefore, the organization is marked in the Top 50% percentile.
Comparison When Selecting a Percentile
If you select a specific percentile, such as Top 25%, your score is compared to that percentile instead of the average:
- The Top 20% benchmark value is 4.5.
- The organization's score of 3.2 is compared to this percentile, showing a difference of 1.3 below the Top 20%.
Even with a selected percentile, other elements such as the normal distribution curve and the "Better than 50% of benchmark" text remain unchanged. This text always compares the organization to the entire benchmark, not the selected percentile.
Note: The median is not the same as the average, the median is chosen by the middle value and the average is calculated based on all values.
If you have toggled on the "Allow users to change their default benchmark from overview page", users have the possibility to choose another benchmark as well as another percentile to measure against.
